Happy 추석 Part 1

Yesterday (Monday, 11/12) was the official day of Chuseok this year. Chuseok is like Thanksgiving for Americans- sort of. It actually has the importance of Christmas for Americans. It is either first or second to Lunar New Year as the biggest holiday in Korea. Christmas is, after all, a Christian holiday, and Korea holds its roots in Buddhism. 

Chris and JB planned their trip to visit us for this time of Chuseok, because we got some time off of work. Only Monday and Tuesday, but it allowed us time to travel outside of Seoul.

On Friday, our kids at GVCS Junior had a Chuseok party. Here are some pictures from the event:
