Baby Judah has never been to a hospital or doctor's office!
On Thursday, June 28, our midwife Rosa came for a checkup. Judah was 6 days old. She had to prick his foot to get blood for the PKU test but I nursed him while she did it so he didn't even cry. We also found out his blood type- O positive just like his momma. Daddy didn't know his own blood type so Rosa offered to check it for him. He threw a fit (a bigger protest than Judah made for sure!) but we finally got him to agree to get his finger pricked. Rosa said "All men all around the world are babies. It doesn't matter the culture or language." Haha.
Judah weighed 8 pounds 11 ounces at birth. On day 6 he weighed 8 pounds 6 ounces so he's almost getting back to his birth weight. Way to go, buddy! He also got his footprints taken and Rosa showed Daddy how to bathe him. It was an eventful night. Judah loves bathtime!
